"Padmé." Rey immediately turns off the saber and clips it to her belt, putting her hands up in apology as she takes a step back. She wipes her eyes, which is useless due to the light rain that continues to fall, and feels mortified as she looks from Padmé to the throne, and then back again.
"Do you know what this is?" Rey asks, feeing her chin wobble as she tries her best not to burst into sobs. This is what she wishes her family could be, this woman standing here in front of her, but her lineage lies in the awful thing behind her, and she can't seem to get rid of it.
