“Good,” Padmé says firmly, almost surprising herself with the vehemence of her reaction. It goes against everything she believes in, wishing death on someone else like that, but she thinks of the exhausted, hopeless look on Obi-Wan’s face when he’d told her about their future; she thinks of the way Rey had screamed at that throne, of all the people killed in a war orchestrated to bring one man even more power, of the friends who she knows now must have been assassinated to keep them from getting in his way, and she can’t bring herself to regret her response.
