At the base of the stairs, he paused, stating abruptly, "You're not alone."

Before allowing her to respond, Ben turned, leading her towards the ticket kiosk.

He pulled the wallet from his own pocket, feeding a few bills into it and purchasing tickets for them both.

"The place I've been assigned isn't far away," he said, passing her ticket to her. "And we've never let that stop us before."
